Justice Gaswaga Inspects Dokolo CM Court
The Lira Resident Judge, Hon. Justice Duncan Gaswaga, accompanied by the Assistant Registrar, HW Ssalaamu Godfrey Ngobi on Wednesday November 1, 2023, inspected Dokolo Chief Magistrate's Court.
The Judge was received at the Court by HW Dr Namae Irene, the Resident Magistrate Grade I under the supervision of HW Abiti Loum Samson, Chief Magistrate Lira, as the Chief Magistrate who caretakes the Magisterial area.
The Resident Judge was taken on a guided tour of the court premises and the wide well-maintained compound.
Hon. Justice Gaswaga observed that the premises are not fenced and that the staff houses/premises were built very near the court hall in the same compound.
He thanked the Judiciary for the provision of the archives store and a shed for litigants waiting to be attended to.
The court recently received a furniture boost from the Judiciary Management consisting of desks, benches and chairs among others. The Magistrate noted that what is needed now are orthopedic chairs for the Judicial Officer and the secretary.
HW Namae presented a status report of the court to the Judge and expressed gratitude to the Judge for the visit.
